5 travel destinations within New South Wales everyone needs to go and see!

That time of year is upon us again, the mid yearly holiday blues. Well, at least for me this is the case. Year after year I find myself googling and planning holidays that 10 times out 10 will probably never happen. However, I have seen some amazing places within Australia that are not that expensive but provide amazing relaxation!

  1. Nelson Bay

Nelson Bay provides amazing relaxation and is only a two and a half hour drive from Sydney. With plenty of amazing beaches, cafes and nature, this is my favourite place to travel to for either a weekend or an entire week.

2. Jervis Bay

Just 3 hours from Sydney, Jervis Bay provides amazing weather, beaches, cafes and most importantly a chilled back atmosphere. Crystal clear water is present everywhere throughout Jervis Bay’s beaches making it an amazing wonder to be seen. Not only that but Hymes Beach is only a short drive from the Jervis Bay town centre. Hymes beach is known for having the whitest sand in the world, and let me tell you it did not disappoint!

3. Royal National Park Sydney

The Royal National Park presents the most amazing natural environment I have ever seen. The best part of it is that it is only a short one hour drive from Sydney. This makes it perfect for a simple weekend away, or even a day trip away. As you can see from the photos below, it provides amazing views of the ocean from the observatory points. It does also have a large barbeque area which is good for a family day out. There are also cafes all around the area to stop at before you head over to see the amazing views.

4. Perisher Valley

If you are looking for a holiday away in winter, what could be more perfect than heading out to the snow for a couple days? With breathtaking views from the top of mountains, Perisher Valley is sure to win your heart over. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, there is a run that everyone can handle. The best part for beginners is the amazing skiing or snow-boarding classes that are available to be taken. Don’t fear the idea of falling, even experts fall! It’s half the fun of it!

5. Sydney

Lastly one of the most amazing places is Sydney itself. Providing amazing views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, Sydney has a lot of entertaining things to do! Lunar Park is a simple ferry ride from Darling Harbour and can provide a day full of laughter and fun! Large amounts of cafes and restaurants will leave you with a full stomach of amazing foods. The entertainment keeps coming with Sea World, museums, Center Point Tower, drive-in movies, theatre productions, nightclubs, opera at the Opera House, Randwick racecourse and many more!
